Part 7: ~ませんか and Frequency Adverbs
~ませんか is used to ask the listener if they want to do something with the speaker. Here is an example:
レストランにいきませんか。 Which translates to "Will you go to a restaurant with me?"
レストラン -- restaurant
Frequency Adverbs are placed before the goal of the verb, this could be an object, place, or other things. When using some frequency adverbs you end the sentence with ~ます and others you end it with ~ません. If the adverb implies a more positive meaning, you then end the sentence with ーます. This could be with adverbs like よく (often). If the adverb implies a more negative meaning, then the sentence should end with ~ません. This is with adverbs like ぜんぜん (never/not at all). Here is an example for each type of adverb:
わたしはときどききっさてんにいきます。 which translates to "I sometimes go the a coffee shop."
ときどき -- often
わたしはぜんぜんテレビをみません。 which translates to "I never watch T.V."
